“First Tough Ruck! My husband suggested we do it when I started considering doing a spring marathon. I enjoy running and he is Retired Army Reserves, it’s a great blend of our experiences. We are rucking in honor of our local fallen heros. We have asked the community to share the names of their loved ones we can dedicate a mile to. I will be rucking with my husband that day. We have a handful of kids and look forward to spending a weekend just us meeting this goal we have worked towards. Training has been great! I use a marathon training plan and vary pace and weight I carry. Once a week I do a long ruck with a heavy pack, so far my longest ruck has been 15 miles.”
